Paintsight is designed to fit into your estimate workflow without slowing you down. From sign-up to a signed homeowner approval, the whole process takes under five minutes. Follow the steps below to complete your first job preview.
1

Create your account

Go to paintsight.com/auth/signup and create your free account. No credit card is required. Once you’re in, you’ll have 3 free previews ready to use on real estimates right away.
2

Upload a job photo

From your dashboard, start a new job and upload a photo of the space you’re quoting. Use a photo of the room, exterior, cabinet, or siding taken during your estimate walkthrough or initial site visit. A clear, well-lit photo gives you the most accurate preview result.
3

Pick the surface and add paint details

Select the paintable area in your photo — interior walls, exterior siding, cabinets, trim, decks, or brick and masonry. Then fill in the paint details: brand, color name, color code, sheen, and any production notes you want saved for the crew. Paintsight uses these details to generate the color preview and include them in the homeowner’s approval record.
4

Send for customer approval

Share the approval link with your homeowner. They open it in any browser and see the AI preview alongside the color name, color code, sheen, surface, and scheduled date. When they’re ready, they sign directly on the page. The signed approval is saved to the job automatically.
Use photos taken during the estimate walkthrough for best results. Natural light and a straight-on angle help the AI accurately isolate the surface and render a realistic color preview.
After the homeowner signs, the color, surface, sheen, and approval date are saved on the job record. Your crew can pull up the exact details at any time, and you have a written record if a color question comes up later.
